Abilities, Species etc « Thread Started on Aug 18, 2007, 11:14am »
Before the registration for the RPG can start, we need a list of abilities for each race and class. I also need people to post different species for Dragons, unicorns, phoenixes, guardians, and summons. so if you have an idea then post the name and description of it in this thread and also state what it is.

Only possibilities. Not set in stone yet.
Sorcerer: Ability to heal. Depending on age and skill, success varies. Younger, less experienced Sorcerers cannot heal themselves.
Mage: Abilities to control their elements. Only able to control one element. Specialize in that element. Elements: Fire - the ability to have control over flames, lava, heat Water - the ability to have control over water, oceans, waves Wind - the ability to have control over wind -- intensity, speed, area Earth - the ability to have control over all that is earth -- trees, dirt, sand, leaves etc. Shadows - the ability to have control over shadows -- intensity, area, can become a shadow (depends on skill and age) Ice - the other side of water. the ability to have control over the colder side of life -- ice and temperature (due to editing)
Archer: High dexterity. Foresight with arrows (able to see through arrows 'eyes' when fired). Can craft own bows and arrows. Generally good trackers and rangers.
Pirate: Ability to berserk -- strength, speed increases, control decreases (generally happens when enraged). Sailors, sleight of hand, known to be good liars and deceivers
Ninja: Stealthy, good at disguises, sleight of hand, speedy, (road block here)
Samaria: known to be very honorable, strong, skills in all weapons, trained from birth, experts in hand-to-hand
Paladin: experts with wielding swords (another road block)

yeah, but again the ability for that would have a name and description right?

Lightning Strike
This is a powerful technique that only the most experienced paladins can use. They take their sword and point it into the sky, from there the sword can absord real lightning which can be flung back at their opponent.

I know that you probably won't go with this little suggestion, but I've found it a lot easier on forums that offer powers for the members to choose the specific powers they are able to have. But has restrictions, the classes and races would show maybe what type of specific powers they can have, but they can come up with their own. Also, they can only have like a maximum of powers and they have to have weaknesses.

actually, if you've noticed (which you probably haven't) there's a board for registering weapons, armor, abilities and different races and species. and yes they should have weaknesses (i didn't put that in the templates though. . .)

hmmmm. . . problem is it's hard thinking up a billion abilities, which is why on the template thing i gave an option to members, if we can add them to the list for everyone to use or to keep them private. . .
