Destiny: Awakens
Prologue:
“You can’t be serious!” Blaze slammed his fists down on the table in front of the other Time Guardians. He was normally a mild tempered man, but the recent happenings have made him feel a bit troubled. “Those kids can’t defend themselves, especially against the creatures from the void!” his fiery red eyes gazed across the room at the other guardians who were sitting around the table, staring at him. They were in a dark room; the only thing in it besides the ten Time Guardians was a black, round table with white chairs stationed around it. Imprinted in the center of the table was a gold circle with a silver hour glass. An even closer look at it would reveal a faint white Chinese dragon that circled the hour glass. This was known as the Crest of Time. Most Time Guardians wore the crest on their clothes somewhere; this held a high significance, its one source of their power.
Blaze turned his head to one of the elder Time Guardians and gave him a stare of loathing. Those kids were in danger and needed help. He suddenly turned his head away, remembering something horrible. The Void was a place that Blaze had been trapped in when he had first became a Time Guardian, it was a place filled with darkness and where your worst fears could come true. Once you’re trapped in the Void, it could take a millennium to find your way out of it. Several passageways in it may lead to other galaxies, worlds, and different places in the world that you had come from before you were trapped and even in other parts of the Void. Many evil creatures have also made their home here, which makes it an even more dangerous thought. Blazer shuddered at the idea of these creatures escaping from their prison, only to wreak havoc on other worlds.
“That’s enough Blazer!” a man stood up, his blonde hair could be seen clearly in the darkness of this room, as well as his blue eyes. He was one of the most well known Time Guardians in the universe, Ray. "You know code number one for Time Guardians right?" He looked intently at the younger Time Guardian who had spoken out of turn. When Blaze failed to answer him, he continued, "Time Guardians are not to interfere with the life on any planet unless another Time Guardian has put them in danger!" after a brief pause he continued to speak, but this time with a question. “Do you know why that is?”
“That’s simple, it’s because of time. It flows with everyday, if by chance we go back in time to fix something, by messing with any individual’s life or changing even a simple thing we could end up changing the entire course of history,” he stopped talking to let Ray resume his speech. It was an annoying part of their discussions, every time a big problem like this arose, there had to be a gathering to determine how to go about fixing it.
Ray nodded his head in recognition of what Blaze had just said, “You’re right, and if history changed then there might be an even bigger problem to deal with.” Ray turned to face into the darkest part of the room, no one could actually see him, but a white Siberian tiger stood in the corner, watching this argument intently. “Sesheir, what do you suppose we do about this, Blazer obviously isn’t going to give up this argument,” he was a little sarcastic but his voice was sincere. The tiger emerged from the darkness with somewhat of a grin on his face.
I think you should let him do what he wants, if Blaze is careful enough then history should not change, Sesheir stopped talking for a moment and then turned to Blaze. But remember, if one part of a world is unbalanced even in the slightest, then that world will end up being destroyed by the time guardians in order to restore the balance between good and evil. Sesheir turned around and sat in his corner again without saying another word.
"Alright, Sesheir has a point, not just for the fact that he thinks you have the ability to save those kids but for the fact that we are all Time Guardians and therefore we’re all responsible for what happens to them," instead of looking at Blaze this time, Ray turned to the other Guardians that were currently sitting around the table. "What do you all this?"
The elder Time Guardian that Blaze had glared at earlier stood up and nodded his head in approval. “Even if the Galaxy tournament starts three hundred years before its proper date, we should still help those children,” he gave Blaze a slight smile. “Ray, send out as many Time Guardians as you can to different worlds in this galaxy, they are to find and train five students each.” He sat down, still smiling.
“I understand sir! This council has been decided and Blazer wins the vote!” Ray slammed a large mallet on the table to signify that the meeting was over. “Blazer, I’d like to speak with you please,” Ray watched as his friend approached him. “You’re going to the world that has been most recently attacked, I know this sounds strange since its a few hundred years before the new time guardians should be chosen, but the animal like guardians on a particular world, seem to have already chosen their partners.” Ray looked around the room to make sure no one was listening in on their conversation. “I’d like to send you to Thenderiae, the world where this is happening.”
Are you sure it’ll be alright? Sitting on Blaze’s shoulder was a pure white eagle, her name was Aizura. You know how Blazer can be, like a child! In anger at what she had just said, Blaze waved his arm and made her fly into the air. She promptly flew around his head and landed on his shoulder again. Alright I’m sorry, but are you still sure this is the best decision?
“Yes, each one of the kids I am talking about is missing something important to them. I’m not talking about their families though, I think Blazer may be able to find those important things on their journey,” Ray smiled at him before walking over to the table. A small, black bag was lying on the floor; on it was gold lettering that was in another language. He knelt down and pulled a little black sting to open it. Inside was a single book, it was also completely black with the crest of time on the cover. There was also a lock on it, so a key was needed to open the book. “I’m going to give this to you Blazer, I think you may need it,” Ray handed him the book. “It holds a lot of information, about many worlds I’ve been to. Thenderiae is one of them.”
“Are you sure I can keep this?” Blaze was unsure; it looked like a really important book. He tried to hand it back to Ray who merely put his hand up to stop him. After
“The book is yours now Blazer, so take care of it. Show it to your students and discover its secrets,” Ray knelt down, pulled the string to close the bag and then swung it over his shoulder before standing up again. “I guess this is farewell then,” he smiled slightly, and then turned towards the nearby door which was now open. A stream of light was entering from the hallway, lighting up the entire room. Ray exited without another word.
After no one was left in the room, Aizura looked Blaze in the face, do you think you can live up to what they expect. Aizura was curious, she wondered if he really could help those kids find what they are looking for. At any rate, I think we should get going. We do have a long journey to complete you know.
“You’re right, in a few days those poor children will be waiting for us,” Blaze looked at his companion and gave her one of his mischievous grins, it had been a long time since he had done this and it was now that Aizura new that her old, playful friend was back.
